Miami Heat 100 vs. Oklahoma City Thunder 96 - NBA Finals 2012: Fourth Quarter Breakdown
The fourth quarter of Game 2 of the NBA Finals saw the Oklahoma City Thunder try their best to come from behind in an attempt to upset the Miami Heat in back to back games. However even after outscoring the Heat 29-22 in the frame,
the charge of the Thunder came a little short as Miami won this one 100-96 to even up the series at 1 apiece.
LeBron James put up another splendid performance in the game, finishing with 32 points, 6 of which came in the final quarter.  He also had 5 assists, 8 rebounds in the ball game.  Along with the impressive shooting from the field,
James also put his free shooting troubles behind him by going 12-12 from the stripe in the game.
Dwyane Wade put up 7 points in the fourth quarter to finish the game with 24 points to go along with 5 assists and 6 rebounds. Chris Bosh in his first start since coming back from injury came up big in the game as well by racking
up 16 points and 15 rebounds. Shane Battier went 5-of-7 from beyond the arc to finish with 17 points.
With OKC trailing by as many as 17 at one point in the game, no one would have expected this game to go down to the wire. However with the Thunder, playing in front of their capacity crowd at the Chesapeake Energy Arena, the game
remained in the balance till the very last seconds.
Miami had led for most part of the game and were leading by 7 with just under a minute remaining courtesy of a spectacular shot clock beating bank shot from James, which was followed up by Wade dishing out to Bosh for an easy dunk.
In the next 16 seconds of the frame, Kevin Durant put up 5 quick points to make it a two point game. He finished the game with 32 points with 16 coming in the fourth to help his team have a chance late in the game. But he eventually
came up short on his attempt from the baseline allowing James to go the other way to knock down two free throws.
Russell Westbrook also got going in the fourth quarter by putting up 9 points but his 10-of-26 shooting in the game let him down majorly. James Harden finished the night off with 21 points to go along with 2 assists and 4 rebounds.
