Dwyane Wade starts rolling as Miami Heat erupt with a 35 point third quarter to scorch the Greens
In the second half of game2, the Miami Heat after trailing for the entire game, turned things around by racking up 35 points in the third frame while holding the Celtics to only 22 points, enabling them to take a 81-75 lead.
Dwyane Wade, after only managing 2 points in the entire first half, hammered the C’s with 12 points to take his points tally to14. He also had 3 assists and 5 rebounds to his name before heading into the fourth.
LeBron James also came to the party after the break, pounding 11 points in the period and taking his total to 23 points to go along with 4 rebounds and 5 assists in the ball game.
After a good showing in the first half, Mario Chalmers slowed down in the second, letting the star duo of James and Wade take over. He managed only three points. Udonis Haslem, who had failed to open his scoring account in the
first half, managed to get 7 points and was instrumental with his hustle work. He finished the third quarter with 8 rebounds.
After a brilliant show of mid range shooting in the first half, the Boston team failed to keep the momentum going. The major reason for the mini slump was the slowing down of Rajon Rondo, who had just 4 points in the period.
Paul Pierce picked up the slack somewhat with 9 points in the period, but the rest of the team failed to fill in on the offense.
The Greens started the third quarter with a 4-0 run; however two back to back three pointers from LeBron James started the proceedings for the Heat and with almost half of the time gone in the quarter, the Celtics were barely able
to hold off the Miami team.
However in the next several minutes the Miami team put together an 18-4 run to take their first lead of the ball game with the score line being 78-71.
In that span, the Boston team missed 7 of their 9 field goal attempts and also turned the ball over on couple of occasions.
