Miami Heat President Pat Riley eager for the NBA season to start

As the National Basketball Association Lockout is seemingly reaching towards an unwanted conclusion, Miami Heat’s president Pat Riley is becoming increasingly worried.
There are a number of things Riley yearns to discuss with his team, but the current situation restricts the team officials from keeping any sort of contact with their players.
However, there are some matters which can be addressed by the Heat’s president Pat Riley without any restriction which includes the most important decision involving the future of Erik Spoelstra. However, the 66-year-old is waiting
for the labour dispute to get resolved before he starts taking some decisions.
“There's a biological clock that we all have in this industry. We all understand we have to wait. And we will. But all summer long (we've) been in the office ready to hit the ground running when we can. We're ready to roll when
everybody else is.”  Riley said.
Miami Heat’s head coach Erik Spoelstra, who has been a part of the franchise since 1995, will be in the final season of his contract once the lockout is lifted. However, no indication suggesting that the franchise will renew the
contract of Spoelstra has surfaced so far. In fact, Pat Riley declared that although he had detailed conversations with Spoelstra to discuss the Heat philosophy next season, however they have not talked about the contract at the moment.
“We've met all summer. We've had some great, long conversations about philosophy. He's watched every game (from last season) over and over. I've watched every single playoff game two or three times. His staff is ready to roll.
He's been here, what, 15 years already. But we don't talk about contracts.”
For Pat Riley, the most important thing is to ensure his team is focused and well prepared for the upcoming season once NBA lockout comes to an end. In the presence of the three best players of the league - LeBron James, Dwyane
Wade and Chris Bosh - Miami Heat raced away into the NBA Finals last season, but failed to realize their championship dream.
Pat Riley wants to correct that next season and to do so, he wants to interact with his player and ensure that Heat strikes back stronger in the next.
