Miami Heat looking to take Dallas Mavericks upto Game-7 – NBA Finals Update
The Miami Heat and the Dallas Mavericks were one on one at the American Airlines Centre on Thursday in their best of seven National Basketball Association (NBA) finals. At the end of the match, the home side suffered a big shocker
when they were defeated by the visiting side 112-103 who eventually took 3-2 lead in the series. The Dallas Mavericks comfortably won that particular game and proved their edge in the series.
Now the Mavericks have a real chance to become the new NBA champions if they win on Sunday or Tuesday. This will be a new addition in the Mavericks’ franchise as they have never been able to won a championship in their three-decade
history.
On the other hand Miami Heat is hoping as they will be able to push the Mavericks to game 7. Their head coach Erik Spoelstra also expressed his inner thoughts regarding his teams’ chances and strategy to push the Mavericks in game-7.
Spoelstra said, “We go back to Miami and we wouldn't have it any other way, we worked extremely hard to get that home court. Nothing that we've achieved this year has been easy. So we're certainly not going to start now. We look
at it the other way, we’re going home, and we wouldn't have it any other way than the hard way. This is an opportunity for us that is why you play a seven-game series. You got to play it out. And this is where we feel comfortable.”
The Miami Heat’s superstar LeBron James played awfully in game-5. He was not even performing on the court when his team wanted his best output the most. He left with the worst performance of this year’s playoffs. James scored 17
points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Earlier he called this particular game “now or never”, but his performance showed as he was just playing around and was not concentrating what he said earlier regarding this game.
James’ late game disappointments not only hit the Miami Heat in several games now, but his recent poor performance in the game was also highlighted by many basketball experts. LeBron James remained scoreless in game four’s fourth
quarter when the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Miami Heat 86-83. His consistent poor performance is certainly a worry for the Miami Heat and when the Miami Heat took the lead in 2-1 back in game 3, they certainly underestimated the Mavericks who came back
not only in the 4, but they also thrashed the Heat in game-5 and took the lead.
However, the Heat certainly can give a tough time to the Mavericks in coming games if they believe in team work and joint effort. No doubt it is a difficult task to stop the Mavericks’ current momentum, but if the Heat coach Spoelstra
is saying as they have no way but to look ahead for win and take control of the next games, he certainly seems optimistic.
