Miami Heat star Chris Bosh explains crying after loss in last year’s NBA Finals to Dallas Mavericks – NBA Update
Chris Bosh was so devastated after defeat to the Dallas Mavericks in last year’s NBA Finals that he cried in his post game press conference. The player received criticism from the media and many in the public sphere for it.
The Miami Heat star has now decided to speak up on the issue and stands by his behaviour. Bosh revealed that he had invested very heavily into the team and in his efforts to win the NBA World Championship; therefore, his reaction at losing out when so close
to winning it all.
“What are your dreams? What do you want the most out of anything in this world? Dangle it in front of you, work hard as h**l to get it, and then take it away. Gone.”
Chris also said that the people who had mocked him for tearing up were out of line.
“To people who made fun of it, I thought it was messed up,” Bosh said. “It meant that much to me.”
Criticism however followed Bosh and the Miami Heat everywhere they went last season. Even before their Finals loss to the Dallas Mavericks, the Heat were the most ridiculed team in the land.
Much of it had to do with the arrival of Bosh and super star LeBron James at Miami. The two stars linked up with Dwyane Wade at the Heat and the move didn’t go down too well with the rest of the NBA.
It didn’t help matters that the Bosh, Wade and James, the Big Three of Miami, made no secret of their intentions to conquer the NBA and claimed that they would win multiple NBA Championships, something many NBA fans thought was disrespectful.
The Heat went into the Finals as the favourites but lost out to the underdog, veteran Mavericks led by an inspired Dirk Nowitzki.
Miami though are on course for another NBA Finals appearance this time around. They just won game 1 of their Eastern Conference Finals series against the Boston Celtics and look ominously strong for the injury ravaged Celtics.
Bosh has not featured in the last many games for Miami as he is out with an abdominal injury.
