Miami Heat wins 88-87 against the Detroit Piston after a tough match

Miami Heat hosted another one of the important games of the season as they were up against the Detroit Pistons. The match was played at the American Airlines Arena. Miami Heat are had come across quite tough times recently as they lost five of their last
six games.
Things didn’t seem could ahead of the match as Dwayne Wade was out for the night with an injured wrist. Chris Bosh was also injured and missed his fourth game as a result of his injured knee. This meant that LeBron James had a lot of responsibility on his
shoulders.
Things didn’t look good early on with the LeBron James twitching in ankle and them after getting blocked on a shot he fell and on his way hit his head on a team mates knee. It looked as if the Miami Heat were down and out.
Unfortunately, Detroit Piston were disappointing in the quarter as well as they couldn’t managed to come up with points and successful shots. Miami Heat were weak on the offence, but they managed to cover that through there tight and strong defence. During
the quarter, Miami Heat could only come up with as many as 19 points while Detroit Pistons scored 22 points.
The second quarter was again dominated by the Detroit Red Wings which resulted in the Miami Heat trailing them for most of the match. Miami Heat couldn’t get past the opposing defence and when they did, they couldn’t come up with shots.
The match was pretty much going in favour of the Piston but with LeBron James trying till the end, the Heat managed to notch up quick points in the quarter. Both teams ended up scoring 20 points each during the second quarter. This meant that Detroit Piston
led 42-39 at the end of the second quarter.
The scores were very close and given that the Detroit Pistons needed to score a few more baskets if they were to win made the second half all the more exciting.
The third quarter saw both teams coming out and attacking from the start. There were ample amount of shots, both teams lacked in the department of successful shooting. Players were driving in but they got blocked.
Despite all this, the third quarter turned out to be the most productive of the three quarters played so far. During the quarter, Detroit Pistons scored 26 points while Miami Heat scored 25 points during the quarter. The scores at the end of the quarter
saw Detroit Piston leading 68-64.
LeBron James managed to come up with a strong performance in the final quarter which saw him making regular assists and scoring too get Miami back into the back. With 4:20 left to play, Miami Heat managed to level the scores on 80-80. After this, the match
was more like a pendulum swinging here and there until finally LeBron’s block in the final second won Heat the match 88-87.
LeBron James was without any doubts, star of the match scoring huge 39 points, nine assists and eight rebounds. This gave the Heat their second consecutive win after some rough times. Ben Gordon was the top scorer for the Pistons with 21 points.
