Miami Heats Vs. New York Knicks
The Miami Heats blistering away victory over the New York Knicks in their home coming game was witnessed at Madison Square Garden last evening. Mike D'Antoni only could see the way the Heats superstar LeBron James tore apart the
Cavaliers hostile crowd in Cleveland, repeating his devastating performance.
The Heats coming to New York was a huge game for the Knicks but their chances to show they had recovered was just a fine line from a painful blow yet again. The Garden was buzzing, just as it always is when James comes to town.
Only this time, it was because the Knicks no longer had the King to their side.
"I figure as long we keep winning and keep having success, that's what the fans want to see. That's what is most important in New York," Stoudemire said. "So LeBron right now is in Miami and we're in New York.”
The Knicks' had already lost to Boston 118-116 earlier this week on the Wednesday night game, yet in this much anticipated game, they failed to muster.
Miami has won 10 games in a row, while the Knicks have had an eight-game winning streak snapped by Boston in Wednesday's matchup. Few thought Wade would leave Miami for New York, but missing out on James seemed a huge blow for
the Knicks.
LeBron James seemed to have enjoyed the weekend quite a bit as regardless of the deafening chorus of booing continuously ringing in his ears, he managed to score his 30th triple-doubles with 30 points scored. It was
indeed another vintage performance from the superstar at the Madison Square Garden taking the Miami Heats past the New York Knicks 113-91 for their 11th straight victory.
There were boos each time James touched the ball early on but it was his 14 points scored in the first quarter that largely quieted the arena with shots at 65 percent, building the lead 34-25.
The Knicks again gained their lead by two early in the third quarter but again the star nailed a 3-pointer that gave Miami the lead for good again and kicked off James’s 14-period. Slapping a high five with a fan after hitting
another long jumper, he scored the final eight points to the game to victory.
Stoudemire was optimistic about the lost game yet he said, "We understand we're not far away but we still have to improve and get better, I think playing these guys is a learning lesson for us. We've got to learn from these games
and get better."
On the Wednesday night the match against Boston, the Knicks managed to ring up 116 points in a two-point loss match but Miami had terrific defense in the 3rd and 4th quarter shutting them down to  a mere 91.
Many of the fans had already left by the time Miami’s trio called it a night.
James had been an active scoring player with his stats suggesting 30.5 points per game, he being the only player besides Michael Jordan with a multiple 50-point games and this match was another disappointment to the home crowd
so as he did to the raucous crowd this month by scoring 38 points in a rout of the Cavaliers.
LeBron James now ties with Larry Bird and Magic Johnson on the all-time list for triple-doubles with 30 points scored surpassing Michael Jordan and must be looking forward to 4 more to tie with Wilt Chamberlain for second most
all-timers.
New York's last victory over Miami was in D'Anton in their debut match in the 2008-09 season openers and ever since, it had been a ride down the track.
Top Performers in the game were L. James with 32 Pts for Miami on the lead and with 24 Pts to A. Stoudemire for New York.
