Can you just walk-in for a tattoo, or is there a waiting list? Also can you request an artist?

If you want to be tattooed by the artists you see on the show, you must apply to be on there by going to their TLC website. They will then email you back to let you know if you have been accepted. It will depend on your "story" and what kind of art you would like.

When Miami Ink is not being shot, the artists are actually not on site. Chris has his own shop in LA, and the other artists also do their own thing. The shop is open year round, but there are other artists there that you will have to choose from. There is a line that starts in front of the shop early, and they choose on a first-come-first-served practice.
