Miami Marlins actively looking to trade Giancarlo Stanton – MLB Update
The Miami Marlins management knows that they need to add some fire power in the roster after they traded some vital players to Toronto Blue Jays. Though they also acquired some good players but still they are feeling less offensive in pitching department.
They want good starting pitchers and in order to bring more players, they have to trade some of the talented outfielders. Currently a couple of news networks have speculated in the media that the Miami Marlins could trade right fielder Giancarlo Stanton.
Stanton has been playing in the Marlins roster for almost two years and has developed a good game with a career .270 hitting average along with 93 home runs, 232 RBIs and .350 OBP. Not only Stanton has good career record, but he has also performed with tremendous
consistency in the last Major League Baseball season.
He showed good commitment and went consistent at .290 hitting average along with 37 home runs, 86 RBIs and .361 OBP. The Marlins entire management also appreciated his game as he won many games for his team.
“Oh, I think that's been our [modus operandi]. I know in the 10 years I've been here, that's our M.O., We've never not listened to a deal on any player. Sometimes I chuckle when I hear people say, 'This guy's untouchable,' and 'That guy's untouchable.' You
know what?,” Marlins’ assistant general manager Dan Jennings said and explained in the media.
He added, “They may be untouchable, until someone either overwhelms you or you get a package back that makes such a significant improvement on your club going forward. So we've always been willing to listen.”
Marlins president of baseball operations Larry Beinfest is also looking to team-up with another Major League team for a potential trade but still no confirmation has come out in the media that Stanton will be traded this offseason.
Experts on the other hand, are quite optimistic that it will be a healthy sign for Stanton if Marlins trade him to another team while still it all depends on the timing as Spring Training is about to start in few months.
