Miami Marlins clinch 7-4 win against Colorado Rockies as Giancarlo Stanton hits grand-slam-MLB

Right fielder Giancarlo Stanton slams a home run and helps the Miami Marlins beat Colorado Rockies 7-4 at Marlins Park, Miami, FL on May 21, 2012 in first game of the three match series.
The Marlins made an incredible come back after trailing by four runs.
Run-spree the Rockies enjoyed in first inning provided them an ideal start. Against the backdrop of an unimpressive record in the season, one could fancy another loss for the Marlins.
However, this time, they appeared in different shape.
In the bottom of the fourth, they added five runs. Much to disappointment of the Rockies, they managed a two run lead as a result.
Afterwards, their relievers restricted batters and never allowed the Rockies to restore the lead.
Short-stop Jose Reyes went 2-for-5 as he is hitting .252.
Third baseman Hanley Ramirez fared far better than his outings in most games in the season. He struck two hits in three at-bats and crossed home plate three times.
Whenever the Marlins’ offence declines and criticism comes rushing at players, Giancarlo Stanton comes to the fore and with his great hitting ability gives an impression that the problems are resolved, at least for a while.
Same happened in the game. Following some rough outings, the Marlins managed 13 hits on Monday. Stanton stood out in the line-up. By going 1-for-4, he added four RBIs.
A Grand slam hit, Stanton struck off Jamie Moyer got him thinking about the time when Moyer made debut and the time when he was born.
''I looked it up and 1986 was his debut and I wasn't even a thought at that moment,'' Stanton said. ''I was born three years later.''
Mark Buehrle started for the Marlins. In little more than seven innings, he conceded five hits and four earned runs.
''When you talk about bulldog, when you talk about gamer, there's a lot of fake out there,'' said Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen. ''There's a lot of fake bulldogs. This kid's for real.''
After winning first match of the series, confidence will be high. By repeating the same performance in next two games, the Marlins can begin a new journey in the season.
