Miami Marlins experience 1-2 defeat against Boston Red Sox as Mark Buehrle gives up two runs-MLB

Starter Mark Buehrle looses momentum in the seventh as the Miami Marlins face a 1-2 defeat against the Boston Red Sox at Marlins Park, Miami, on June 12, 2012 during their second game of the three match series.
Boston keeps the series alive by winning second game after losing the first one. By no means was it an easy victory as they managed only two runs. A little more effort by the Marlins’ offence will have sent them packing with the defeat.
Entire game experienced a runs drought, apart from the seventh inning which actually produced the result of the game. Boston powered to a two run lead in the top of the seventh.
Posting lead at such a crucial juncture of the game was great advantage. It put Miami under-pressure, as all of a sudden the match which was heading for a tie was set for their defeat.
Left fielder Logan Morrison ventured out to their rescue and thrashed a home run, bridging the deficit to one run. As rest of the Marlins’ hitters remained quiet, they embraced the defeat.
Buehrle did fairly well by and large. As he gave up two runs and struck-out four, with little support from offence, he will have recorded the victory.
Missed opportunities for scoring runs kept Miami from putting up a challenge to Boston. Shortstop Jose Reyes tried to reach home plate in the third, but he was thrown out.
"The third base coach (Joe Espada) sent me," Reyes said. "He said, 'Go ahead,' you know. We think that maybe the shortstop would throw the ball off balance or he would bounce the ball or something like that and we (could score a run) that way."
Buehrle was fairly satisfied with the way he pitched. Both side witnessed their starters throwing quality innings and under such situation little mistakes lead to the failure, he uttered.
"A good pitched game by both teams," Buehrle said. "It was who was going to make the mistake first, and it was me."
Third game of the series will be decisive. Which side is going to win is open for guesses at the moment. Miami will like to win the series after being humiliated in the last week and restore some pride.
