I would like to organize a peaceful march for the people of Burma at the Miami Freedom Tower to keep attention on the country and the oppressive Junta. How do I go about the task of setting that up?

  1. Start at the colleges with signup sheets on their community boards. This wll get you into the protest groups circles.

  2. Pointless and ineffective...but, hey, it won't hurt either.

It's especially pointless right now because it IS in the news now. (Which is exactly why you are thinking about doing this.)  The time for your march is six months from now when the media and most other people have forgotten about it.

Of course, it still won't have any tangible effect in Myanmar...but knock yourself out.

  3. I do not know, I am truly saddened that the international community is afraid of China.

I hope all of those Mattel toys are worth it.

  4. See if you can get on the radio to make the announcement. A protest in Miami would be great.

  5. Hi, I'm glad I'm not the only one I need to do something about this massacre.  I'm not very familiar organizing such an event, but in Europe, we sent e-mails or phone messages, and we get together there.  I love the idea of using the Miami Freedom Tower as our main point.  Noon sounds good to me, tomorrow,  when the rest of many cities around the world will be doing the same.  I'm Cris, and I hope I can send this e-mail to all my friend.  All the best for peace and humanity'

  6. What makes you think they would care about a protest in the USA they don't care in their own country

    YOUR UN at work.

Oh I forgot the UN hasn't done anything for world betterment ever
