Miami’s LeBron James, OKC’s Kevin Durant receive Kia Players of the Month: NBA
Miami Heat’s LeBron James of the Eastern Conference and Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant of the Western Conference were honoured Kia Players of the Month for the games played during month of April.
James played commendably throughout the month, leading Miami Heat to a 6-1 record during the respective month. The Miami Heat power forward helped his team rally ahead to seal second seed on the playoff berth. The All-Star dominated the league in scoring
28.5 points per game. He recorded a marvelous 55 percent shooting from the field. The player had an all rounder month as he made an average of 8.0 dimes, 6.8 boards, and 2.8 steals. This was his seventh successive season in which the superstar averaged approximately
25 points, grabbed six rebounds along with six assists. Now he is the only other person besides Oscar Robertson to have achieved this record during pro career in the NBA. The former player accomplished this feat in eight seasons in a row, from season 1960-61
