Mic has super echo how do i fix it?

For some reason my mic is echoing the sound thats coming out of my speakers (headset) so when im in ventrillo everything i do on the computer that has a sound my friends can hear aswell when they talk the hear their own voices. How do i fix this?!

you might need to update your audio drivers. those can be found on your pc manufacturers website. also if for any reason theres any reverb or delay effects in any menu you might have there lower them.

Try turning off the MIC boost feature.

Go to START,  Control Panel  , Sound and audio devices then left click on sound and audio devices. When the window comes up you will see several tabs at the top. Stay on the volume tab. Find the box that says advanced.Left click it. The property's for system volume levels will come up. If your MIC is not listed you may have to turn it on.

On the volume control window find options. Another window will pop up.This will say property's. Make sure Playback is selected. Then Scroll down the list and enable the MIC. Then hit OK. This will add the MIC to your Master volume list. All you have to do from there is check mute. That should take care of the echo problem. Also try turning the MIC away from the speakers and turning down your speaker volume. This may also help with the reverb echo problem.

Do you have speakers on and then a separate mic?  Or is it just a headset and no other noise?

In vent you should be able to change the source of where sounds are coming from.  Make sure its coming from your mic.

There should be mic & speaker settings somewhere in your computer.  Try in the Control Panel...that is if you have Windows, sorry I don't use Mac if you use Mac.  But yes, there should definitely be something in the Control Panel section of your computer to help you out.
