Mica Mika set to stand first in Security Stakes
Mica Mika is all set to complete his hat-trick by winning the Constant Security Stakes (Handicap) at York racecourse on Wednesday, May 16. The Class 4 race over a distance of 1 mile and 4 furlongs will commence at 3:35 (GMT).
For the prize cheque of £7,763, the Richard Fahey-trained veteran horse will test his racing credentials against 19 rivals such as Persian Peril, Bollin Felix, Granston, Aldwick Bay, Mulaqen, Chilly Filly, Hawk Mountain, Always The Lady, Swinging Hawk, Kyllachy
Spirit, Crunched, King Kurt, Vasily, El Torbellino, Red Jade, Kaolak, The Fun Crusher, Tartan Gigha and Eagle Rock.
Mica Mika is on the verge of a hat-trick at the moment. The four-year-old veteran gelding elegantly won a big race each on December 27, 2011 and May 11, 2012.
Prior to this, the talented runner had gained a runner-up rank on October 2, 2011. As a whole, the brilliant sprinter has won 5 of his total 20 starts to date, earning £39,574 as the prize money.
Currently, the son of Needwood Blade out of Happy Talk is awash with fighting spirit and winning enthusiasm that will help him thrive in the Stake. His chances to finish first are as high as 93 percent.
However, the hot-favourite runner, The Fun Crusher, will give Mica Mika enough tough time. Tim Easterby’s novice gelding started his career with a fabulous victory on April 30, 2011. The four-year-old sprinter finished 5th against 15 competitors
in his second and last outing on March 31, 2012.
By capitalising on his favourite tag, the energetic horse can make a big impact today. The battle between the two talented geldings will make the event thrilling enough.
Aldwick Bay is also expected to do well today. Richard Hannon’s bay gelding marvellously finished first in his last outing on May 7, 2012. As a whole, he has won 3 of his total 14 starts so far.
Along with these three gelding, some of the other runners will also struggle hard for success. Thus, there will be a fierce battle today. Let us see who carries the day. Good luck to all the contestants.
