I will give out a best answer- 10 points promised for relieble backed up answer!

I have 3 pet mice who all get along and seem to play nicely, i bought them all from the same pet shop at the same time.

1 of them acted odd since i had her and i found she was ill, i took her to a vets who gave me antibiotics which helped clear up an infection.

Since however the other two mice have been either nibbleing her or grooming her- they keep following and sniffing her, occasionally she squeeks which makes me :( so I need to know if shes squeeking because shes communicating or if shes distressed, and why the others do this.

The affected mouse has no bite marks/signs of injury and is quite happy other times/ears up etc. But im still worried...

Do mice groom each other? If so why is she squeeking?????

  1. The other mice might be able to sense the antibiotics and are just curious as to what it is. The other 2 mice could be males and are just wanting to have a little play if you know what i mean. Female animals never enjoy the playfulness much.

  2. yes mice do groom each other , but she mite not like it,or maybe she is hurt and wen they groom her they accidentally touch the spot that hurts.
