  4. seems like you have everything! =)

    EXCEPT

    toys!

mice are very intelligent and will need something to do, so make sure you give them lots of toys to play.

you dont need to buy them, unless you dont mind spending money, lots of household items can be used.

here are some examples: toilet rolls, cardboard boxes, tree branches, hammocks, ropes, ladders, egg cartons, tubes, lofts,  rocks, and lots more!!

some people even chuck in the whole toilet roll with the tissue since the mice love ripping apart all the tissue.

make boring cardboard boxes more interesting by cutting mouse-sized holes in them!

sterilize your tree branches by putting them in the oven at about 200-220 degrees celcius to get rid of bad bacteria and so on.

make hammocks by cutting a shape out of your old t-shirt and safety pinning it to the bars of the cage.

make ladders out of paddlepop sticks, or simply buy wooden bird ladders. for athletes, give them ropes to climb!

make multiple levels in your cage for even more fun! theyll love to scramble around and thats when ropes and ladders come in handy.

oh, and make sure you have a solid-bottomed wheel. they need the exercise and wire wheels can break their legs.

also, try getting wood chews for them. their teeth are constantly growing so they need something to wear their teeth down. dog biscuits are also really good for their teeth.

good luck!! and have fun with your new mice! =)

cool mouse cages are harder to find, so here are some rat cages!

(but of course, your cage doesnt need to be quite as big)
