The Bayer Leverkusen midfielder suspects that Lahm plotted against him for the captaincy of the national side in the 2010 World Cup.

already been made between him and Low and it was just a mere formality to reveal it.
The 35-year old added that he had been the captain of the side and knows how groups work in a team. He admitted that at first it was hard for him to digest the news but he later got over it.
“He is an intelligent lad and you don't just give an interview like that in such a situation. He must have agreed it with the coach to lean so far out of the window. I was the captain and I know how people behave within a group.

On the other hand, Ballack insisted that he wanted to play at least two more years for his current club and the aim was to challenge for major trophies. However, the player’s problems with Robin Dutt have limited his appearances
for the first team and he is likely to leave the club in the summer.
