Former Chelsea and Bayern Munich midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Ballack-c25270 has revealed he believes the Blues are underdogs going into the fixture against the German side, but felt they could emerge as victors.
Ballack spent four years with both Bayern Munich and Chelsea and was with the Blues side that made it to the UEFA Champions League final in 2008 against Manchester United. The London side lost to the Red Devils on penalties and this is their first final since then.
The 35-year-old felt that Bayern Munich were favourites going into the match since the fixture was being held at the Allianz Arena. However, Ballack believed the Blues could go on to surprise everyone by reproducing their form against Barcelona and defeating the Bundesliga side.
Ballack said in an interview:
“Of course Chelsea can upset the odds - they did it against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604. Everything looks like Bayern are favourites; they are playing at home which is a big advantage in a final.
They kicked out Real Madrid in the semis and, although they were two tight games, they deserved it.

Ballack signed for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 skipper is now awaiting his former two sides going against one another for the biggest prize in football.
Speaking on Chelsea’s chances of winning against Bayern Munich, Ballack believed the Blues had it in them to defeat the German giants with their quality. Despite being without http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Branislav-Ivanovic-c7994 due to suspension, the London side have enough talent in their side to help them cope without the absentees.
He continued:
“But Chelsea know their strengths and know their quality. They've had a difficult season but, in the last few weeks, have showed what they can do.
They play exactly how they know they have to in order to win and they still have unbelievable quality.”
