Michael Ballack hopes Chelsea qualify for the next round of the Champions League
Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Michael Ballack is hopeful that his former club Chelsea would qualify for the knock-out stage of the UEFA Champions League. The player admitted that he is happy that Leverkusen have already qualified
for the next stage but wants the Blues to do the same.

The midfielder admitted that the English giants are going through a rough patch now but predicted a great recovery for the club in the next few weeks. He tipped the Blues to make a strong comeback and wants them to be successful.
“We have to think about ourselves. We are in the next round now and Chelsea play at home to Valencia so they still have a good chance. Every team has a difficult moment and they are in theirs now. They lost at the weekend, but
they will come back,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former German international stated that Chelsea has a very strong side but admitted that it has been an unlucky season for them. He insisted that the Blues squad consists of some world-class players and that they are only low
on confidence. He added that one good victory would bring them back on track.
“I know the players, they are very competitive - they are a strong side and they will recover,” he concluded.
