Michael Ballack’s future has been under widespread speculation in the past few months. The player admitted that he will not sign an extension to his current contract at Bayer Leverkusen, thus inviting interest from the Middle East,

Ballack’s agent, Michael Becker, insisted that his client wants to play regular first team football which is one reason of parting ways with the German outfit. He stated that Ballack has great affection for America and he wants
to help the youngsters further develop their skills.
