Michael Beasley: 10 Best games of the NBA regular season 2010-11 (Part-1)
Although the Minnesota Timberwolves finished the season as the league worst team, their forward Michael Beasley had an impressive season in which he averaged 19.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. The Wolves acquired the forward from Miami Heat in the pre-season.
Beasley’s career average is 15.9 points and 5.8 rebounds and his number increased significantly this season. With the exception of Kevin Love, he was perhaps the only bright spot in the Wolves squad. His ten best performances of the season are as under.
November 10th, 2010 vs. Sacramento Kings
In a superb 98-89 victory against the Sacramento Kings on November 10th, Beasley scored a career high 42 points along with nine rebounds.
In the opening quarter, Beasley pounded 18 points to set the tone for the Wolves. He kept on attacking the Kings in the second quarter and landed nine points in that frame. He added eight points in the third period and seven in the final as the Wolves emerged triumphant in the battle of the light weights.
November 12th, 2010 vs. New York Knicks
In a comprehensive home victory against the potent New York Knicks, Beasley gave an astonishing performance by scoring 35 game high points along with six rebounds and four assists.
The Timberwolves struggled to catch up with the offensive battery of the Knicks in the first three quarters of the game and were trailing by seven points going into the final period. However, Beasley played tremendously in the final quarter, scoring 12 points which propelled Wolves to a fabulous victory.
November 17th, 2010 vs. Los Angeles Clippers
In yet another thrilling performance, Michael Beasley spearheaded the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 113-111 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Beasley scored 33 points along with seven rebounds in the game, which was very thrilling from the start. Beasley contributed 12 points in the first half, by the end of which the game was tied. He then took over the third quarter with an 11 point blitz which gave the Wolves lead, one they never relinquished throughout the game.
December 27th, 2010 vs. New Orleans Hornets
On December 27th, the Minnesota Timberwolves took over the New Orleans Hornets with a 113-98 win. Beasley was terrific throughout the game and helped his squad in achieving a comprehensive win with a game high 30 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.
The Hornets had a good start as Michael Beasley contributed just ten points in the first half of the game. However, after adding eight points in the third quarter he erupted with 12 points in the final period to pummel the Hornets.
December 29th, 2010 vs. Denver Nuggets
In a 119-113 loss, Beasley scored 33 points along with five rebounds and four assists. The Wolves got a good start and kept pace with Nuggets throughout the first three frames. However, they went cold in the final quarter which resulted in their defeat.
