Michael Bisping: I am ready to make a comeback – UFC news
Michael Bisping, the knockout specialist of Ultimate Fighting championship (UFC), said that he is ready to make a comeback but is confused as to who will be his next opponent, adding that he has complete trust in the UFC management that will definitely come
up with a suitable competitor for his next fight.
Bisping, infamous as ‘The Count’, recently got busted by Chael Sonnen in the pay-per-view ‘UFC on Fox 2’ headlined by the bout between Rashad Evans and Phil Davis. The January 28 engagement caused him to go on a medical suspension since his injuries needed
rest and therapy.
Michael, recently in an interview, said that he does not feel degraded at losing to Sonnen since he knows he was able to overwhelm Chael in two out of the total three rounds. Bisping said that he just needed to put in a bit more effort which might have helped
him capture a win.
It must be kept in mind that UFC president Dana White announced before the brawl that if Bisping wins he will get a chance to take on Anderson Silva, the current UFC middleweight champion. Things did not go well and Michael lost the bout to Sonnen unanimously
by collecting 30-27, 29-28 and 29-28 scores.
Michael revealed that he is planning to make a comeback most probably in May but he is totally confused as to who will be his next opponent. A glance at the middleweight division shows that almost all the main stream, high profiled brawlers are engaged in
different bouts.
Bisping commented, “All the top guys seemed to be booked up at the moment, so I'm scratching my head thinking of who to ask the UFC for. I'm sure they'll come up with someone decent for me. I just tend to accept the fights and try to do my best. I was thinking
about that last night, and I couldn't think of anyone.”
While putting forth his 2012 agenda Bisping said that he wants to fight more and more since he is in his prime position adding that he at least wants to enter the octagon four to five times this year.
When asked about his conversation with Dana regarding taking on either Chael or Silva, Bisping replied, “I was just going back and forth with (UFC president) Dana (White) last night, so I'm not sure where we’re at, but I'm hoping that (with) one more good
win over a good opponent, I should fight the winner of Chael and Anderson later in the year.”
Michael has been in a total 26 brawls and has emerged victorious in 22. The Count has collected 14 of his wins by knockout, four by submission and the same by either split or unanimous decision.
