Michael Bisping admits he was hit hard by Brian Stann – UFC News
While most analysts believed Briton fighter Michael Bisping would lose to Brian Stann, Bisping proved he is the better man by collecting a unanimous decision victory past Saturday at UFC 152. Bisping took some real gruesome shots from Stann, but maintained
his ground and used his jab to the utmost to weaken the former marine fighter.
“It's fighting. You're going to get hit. And you're right – he hit me with a solid shot. Brian is a tough guy. I was happy; he hit me with a hard shot, but I recovered, and I turned it around. I thought the first round was very close. The second and third,
I thought I comfortably won those. But Brian hits hard, and he's certainly got a good chin as well,” said Bisping.
“On my Twitter account, I get a lot of tweets saying, 'I used to absolutely hate you, but now, I kind of like you.' That's nice,” said Bisping.
“I mean, I'll take it. I'll be honest. I've been here a long time. Have I done things I regret over the years? Of course I have. I've said stupid things; I've done stupid things,” he added.
Bisping is now looking forward to a title shot against middleweight champion Anderson Silva. Even Dana White admits that a fight between the two would be highly entertaining for fans.
Bisping was previously considered as an overrated fighter by most analysts and fans. However, after his victory over his Brian Stann, the middleweight has proven his mettle and he is now being respected for his talent. Bisping is happy to know that fans
have finally started appreciating him based on his qualities.
Previously, Bisping was one of the most controversial UFC fighters of all times. He was considered among the ones who always get the easy fight to move ahead. Most fans were hopeful that Bisping would lose badly to Stann. Luckily, Bisping made it to the
mark this time by proving he is not just a technical but a great aggressive fighter too.
For now, White is thinking of a title match between Silva and Bisping, but nothing has been decided yet.
