Michael Bisping ready to give it all against Brian Stann – UFC News
British mixed martial artist Michal Bisping is all in the mood to give his best shot against Brian Stann, his opponent at UFC 152. In a recent interview with Yahoo Sports, Bisping spoke about Brian Stann’s comments, suggesting the Briton is a mediocre fighter
who has not built solid reputation in the industry.
Replying to Stann, Bisping asserted that the American himself does not hold any good position in the sport, adding that he lost to mediocre opponents. However, Bisping insisted that he is not underestimating Stann, considering that the American is a knockout
specialist.
“I'm not underestimating this guy - he's one of the best fighters in the division, and I know he's going to look to knock my head off with every shot. But I think I'm half a step-up in all the key skills: striking, submissions and wrestling,” said Bisping,
who is looking forward to a dominating win over Stann in order to score a title shot at middleweight champion Anderson Silva.
“This is my fight to lose - he can't win the fight unless I make a mistake and give him a chance to. And being so close to a title shot, I'm not going to make mistakes. I'm taking this guy out,” he added.
Stann and Bisping both are looking forward to win the show in order to face Anderson Silva next. Previously, American fighter Chris Weidman was in the line too but recently president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship revealed Weidman will not face Anderson
Silva.
In this context, the winner of Bisping vs. Stann has a good chance to get a shot at the champion, provided Silva is willing to take it. It should be noted here that Anderson Silva has decided not to fight until 2013 and he is looking forward to a fight against
Georges St-Pierre next year.
In other words, even if Bisping scores a victory, he will have to wait for a year at least to take on Silva.
For now, Bisping is focused to prove his mettle against Stann, believing it is the most important fight of his career where he needs to score a victory by hook or by crook.
