Michael Bisping to go through two more fights before championship bout – UFC news
Michael Bisping, the Brit UFC fighter who lost against Chael Sonnen this weekend, says that he might have to go through two more fights in order to get a shot for the UFC title.
Past Saturday came with a couple of surprises when the world saw the so-called ‘overrated’ Brit Michael Bisping giving his best performance against the mighty blaster Sonnen. Bisping was at his best, so much so that even Sonnen for a while thought that he
had lost. The bout ended with a controversial decision handing over the victory to Sonnen.
For Chael Sonnen, the American fighter who is known for his mighty fist and his aggressive attack, the victory was good enough to get him a title shot against the middleweight champion Anderson Silva. However, the way Bisping fought definitely made others
wonder. He proved to the world that he is not just a technical fighter but he can be aggressive too if it is a requirement of time.
Unfortunately, even though Bisping made his nation proud, he has to again go through all the trouble of fighting contenders to get to the title shot. As he puts it, he has to again prove his skills to the organisation (UFC) by winning at least two fights.
“I'll keep doing it. I'm definitely the number one fighter from England. I'm in my prime and I'm getting better and better all the time. I've given Chael the best fight anyone has. He destroyed Anderson Silva for four-and-a- half rounds. I'm the only one
who went out there and fought him. I've got a long time yet. I'm getting better and better all the time. I'm one of the top five middleweights in the world. I think I won that fight. I just beat the number two but didn't get the decision,” Bisping iterated.
He further said that he and Dana White though Sonnen has lost but he won which means he was close enough and good enough.
While Sonnen will be marching towards the title shot, Bisping will sadly be finding his through the top. Hopefully, he will figure it out soon since he is a tough fighter with a smart brain.
