Michael Carrick signs new contract with Manchester United

The player arrived at Old Trafford in 2006 from Tottenham Hotspur and has enjoyed
considerable success since then. Even though this season has not been the best for him, he has improved in the recent games and Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson revealed he was pleased with the player’s decision to stay.
The 29-year-old England international revealed he was extremely pleased to have extended his stay with the Red Devils. He confirmed the extension of the contract and said while speaking to the media, “I am thoroughly enjoying my time at this great club.
There is a fantastic team spirit within the squad and I am pleased to have committed my future to United. We are in a very good position at the moment and I am confident this team will be successful for many years to come.”

Fabian Delph, the 21-year-old Aston Villa midfielder, recently signed a new contract with the Villains, which will now keep him at the club until the end of the 2015 season. He arrived at Villa Park from Leeds United in the summer of 2009 and is thought
to have gotten “an improved deal” with the new contract.
Delph said while speaking to reporters, “I am absolutely delighted. The club has shown great commitment in me by offering me this deal and I was more than happy to sign it. I want to push on now, improve and play a part as we look to finish the season on
a high and build for next season.”
Delph has had a very frustrating season so far, the England under-21 International has been suffering with a ligament injury. However, Aston Villa boss Gerard Houllier maintained faith in the youngster and revealed he was pleased with his commitment to the
club.
