Les Girondins have announced that the club has accepted an undisclosed fee from the Serie A side for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international
The 28-year-old played his last game for Bordeaux against Paris Saint-Germain last week, before putting pen to paper on a four-year-deal with the Italian club, Lazio.
The Frenchman, who moved to Stade Chaban Delmas from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Lorient-c39153 in 2009, managed to make over 100 appearances for the French club in all competitions.
Ciani has expressed mixed feelings after ending his three-year-stay with the Ligue 1 outfit. While talking to reporters after sealing a switch to Italy, the defender stated that he is delighted at the prospect of playing in Serie A, but at the same time
admitted that it was hard to say goodbye to his team-mates.

The former Lorient player added that he will gain valuable experience while playing under http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vladimir-c36322 Petkovic, and the prospect of playing against the likes of Juventus and two Milan clubs excites him.
Ciani said that he always wanted to play in a top league and he is really excited to be a part of this great club. At the age of 28, the Frenchman feels that he has made the right decision by moving to Italy and he is eagerly looking forward to make his
Serie A debut.
"I will gain more experience - it's a big league. I will play against Juventus, the two Milan clubs and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603. There are great players and I think it's good for me to see another country,” the Frenchman told reporters.
The 28-year-old, who has one international cap to his name, is of the view that playing in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 will enhance his chances of forcing his way back into the French national team.
“I will give everything because I want to work my way back into the French national team.”
