The Kangaroos suffered a humiliating defeat against the Proteas in a dramatic Test. The pitch in Cape Town had assistance for the seamers which saw the tourists struggle throughout the match, which ended in just seven sessions.
After being put into bat, the Aussie side managed to score 284 runs in their first innings. Most of the runs were scored by Clarke, who top scored with a brilliant innings of 151 runs.

execution with the ball today again wasn't great and we let the Test match slide.”
However, the 30-year-old was not giving up easily and claimed, “There's plenty of tough times throughout your career and I guarantee this is one tough time for that team out there, but our goal is to fight hard in the second Test and get the win and try
to level the series before we get on that plane back home.”
The final Test of the series will be played in Johannesburg on Thursday, November 17.
