Michael Clarke, the newly appointed Australian skipper, shared that he is passionate to lead his team in the challenging competition against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758, coming up in August.
"I'm really focused on trying to lead this team in the right direction and trying to have as much success as I possibly can as well," added http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Clarke-c51120.
The next month’s series against Sri Lanka will begin with a two-match Twenty20 series, followed by five One-Day internationals and three Tests.
The Test series will be Clarke’s debut series as a captain, where he will have to face big challenges while competing against the International Cricket Council (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lions-c808.
The right-handed batsman took over the Aussies after http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750.
Clarke had been playing earlier as the vice-captain of the team. After full captaincy, his first campaign started with the tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747, where they white-washed the hosts in a three-match ODI series.

The devoted skipper vowed to take http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 back to the top spot, which is why he recently avoided the Twenty20 Big Bash League, saying that he wanted to focus on the upcoming Test series.
The 30-year-old asserted that there is no point of playing in the Twenty20 League tournament, as there are big challenges ahead, especially with the series against Sri Lanka, followed by a tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757. After these tight competitions, the Kangaroos
are scheduled to take on the Black Caps and the Men in Blue, before they tour the Caribbean.
"I would love to take part in the domestic Twenty20 competition at some stage but for me right now, my focus is Test and one-day cricket for Australia," he said.
Clarke, while talking about Australia’s preparation for the next series, revealed that they had been practicing hard in Brisbane, at the Centre of Excellence.
