The Kangaroos are currently touring the Caribbean and are leading the three-match Test series by a margin of 1-0, with one match still to be played.
Roach has been the pick of the West Indian bowlers and is the highest wicket-taker of the series so far from both the teams with 15 crucial scalps, including a 10-wicket haul at Port of Spain.
The fast bowler made his way to international cricket in 2009 and since then he has been doing exceedingly well at the highest stage of the game. He is quick, accurate and also possesses the ability to move the ball in the air and also off the pitch. In
his short career till date, Roach has troubled some of the best batsmen in the business and has caught the eyes of some former cricketers, who are predicting a very bright future for the young rookie.
The Australian captain is extremely impressed with the skills of Roach and admitted that the youngster has troubled the Aussie batsmen in the on-going series. The middle-order batsman urged his teammates to raise their game for the final match of the series
if they want to counter the pace of Roach.
"He's a very good bowler. For 23, he's a wonderful talent. He can swing the ball both ways, natural and reverse. He bowls at quite good pace. We have to come up with a better plan to combat him because he's had a lot of success so far on the tour, that's
for sure," he said.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Clarke-c51120 expressed that it is very difficult to play against the rookie because he does not give too many bad balls and can swing the new ball as well as the old one.
The Aussie skipper added, "When someone bowls at that sort of pace, especially reverse swinging it both ways it's always going to be difficult. But somehow we've got to find a way to score runs against him or not allow him to get us out."
