Michael Clarke keen to win today’s grand final against South Africa – Cricket News Update
Newly appointed Australian skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757, aiming to perpetuate his winning streak.
As the 3-match series is levelled 1-1, Clarke regards the last encounter as a great challenge for his team, especially considering that the Proteas are always hard to beat in their backyard. However, the captain asserts that the match will be somewhat interesting
and thrilling, claiming that it is going to be ‘fantastic’ to take on the Africans at home.
Clarke has also revealed that the Kangaroos, after losing the 2nd ODI, have worked a lot on their shortcomings and preparing themselves for the mega clash.
Talking to the media, the veteran skipper said, “It'd be fantastic, no doubt. They're a very good team and they love playing in their own backyard so it's a great opportunity for us tomorrow and, if you look at our work ethic, there's no reason why we can't."
He further told, “I'm looking forward to the challenge tomorrow. We know we have to be at our best, we know we have to improve from our last game and we've been working on that.”
Clarke predicts that both the teams will put in their best efforts in today’s series decider, which leads to the two-Test competition.
“I think we're in for a great game and, with the series levelled at the moment, I think there's plenty on the line and both teams are very keen to win leading into the Test series," stated the skipper.
Pup is also hopeful of his legendry all-rounder, Shane Watson’s comeback which, he thinks, will be a great support for the side. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Watson-c96326 had problem while bowling in the last match as he suffered from back spasms. However, he is likely to be fit again to
lead his team’s bowling and batting attacks today.
