Katich also stated that his conflict with Clarke during 2009’s home Test outing against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 was the prime result of his divisive omission from the team and that the Skipper had a major role to play in the whole affair, which is why he is in such
a state.
“You don’t have to be Einstein to figure out that it’s not just the selectors who had a part in sending me on my way,” said the 36-year-old Aussie batsman.
“To be brutally honest what happened in the dressing room here a few years ago didn’t help my cause and obviously the captain and coach are selectors, and just because he (Inverarity) is going to be chairman of selectors I wouldn’t have thought that would
make too much difference,” Katich added.
Prior to Australia’s recent tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758, Cricket Australia (CA) opted to drop out Katich from the list of contracted players, and denied his commitment with the national side for their 2011 season.
However, the reason why the whole affair had been labelled as a controversial matter was because Katich had been performing exceptionally well for the national roster, despite the side’s last defeat at the Ashes series.

During his recent interview, Katich also slammed CA officials, stating that no one has so far contacted him since his axing and that the whole attitude by the board is disrespectful.
