Tottenham Hotspur and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Dawson-c25288 has revealed he is looking forward to putting his injury problems behind him as he looks forward to the new season.
Last season, Dawson only went on to make seven appearances in all competitions due to various injuries suffered throughout the season. The Englishman admitted he had not had the best of seasons and was desperately looking forward to next season when he could
make more of an impact for the London side.
Dawson revealed the medics at the club had been very helpful during his recovery, even though he had been very dejected. He admitted it was tough not being able to train with the rest of the squad and hoped he would be fully fit in time for the new season.
Dawson said while speaking to reporters:
“I'll admit that I'm not my normal outgoing self when I'm injured - particularly when it is as long term like this one has been.
The medics here are great and they try to keep you positive as well as putting you right. But I find it so hard. The worst thing is hearing all the banter as the lads go out to train and being stuck behind.”
Along with Dawson, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tom-c35214 Huddleston also had a disappointing season. After two ligament surgeries, Huddlestone was ruled out for the majority of the season. Dawson admitted it was pleasant to have someone for company while he was out injured.
The 28-year-old revealed he had been working alongside Huddlestone towards fitness and expected himself and Huddlestone to be perfectly fit for the upcoming season. If things go as planned then the duo can be expected back in time for pre-season.
He continued:
“We've been working hard together but it's great that the two of us managed to get back out there before the summer break and we can now look forward to next season and coming back stronger.”
According to the central defender, his injury had strengthened him mentally and he believed he would rejoin the squad stronger than before. Dawson admitted it had not been easy, but felt it in the long-term it would benefit him.
