  1. Joe Frazier was a great fighter with perhaps the greatest left hook in history.  He also had a lot of heart and tremendous stamina.  He was a relentless pressure fighter that always seemed to be coming forward.  Dokes was well known for his handspeed and was a good boxer.  Dokes would be back peddling the whole fight against Joe who would apply the pressure looking to get inside to land his brutal hooks.  Dokes would survive about 6-7 rounds but Joe would finally land his famous left hook on the chin of Dokes in round 8 and send him to the canvas.  He would get to his feet, but the refereee after seeing his glassy eyes, woud halt the contest.

  2. fraziers pressure is (as ever) relentless, but dokes does his best to keep smokin' joe off,  but frazier is too much and dokes starts to wilt by the 8th round, and gets kayoed in the 9th.

  3. I don't think the 15 rounds would make a difference because Dokes wouldn't last that long.  Dokes had good hands but he was an undisciplined fighter with a suspect chin.  Dokes also lacked the firepower to keep Frazier off of him.

I see a repeat of Frazier's destruction of Jimmy Ellis.  Joe smokes him in 5.

  4. This would not be that great of a fight Michael Dokes would be fighting for his life. I see Dokes backing up using his jab and Frazier stalking him around the ring after about the 3rd round Frazier left hook finds it,s mark  and down goes Dokes he trys to get up  but can,t beat the count it,s over in the 4th round next.
