Real Madrid are yet to find out whether they have lost their summer’s loan-purchase for the remainder of the year, due to an allergic reaction to a medicine.
Real Madrid’s Ghanaian midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Essien-c25294 has not featured for Los Blancos since their victory over Levante and the capital side preferred to keep the reason for the former Chelsea man’s missing under the wraps.
Essien, on loan, was signed by Jose Mourinho from European champions http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 in the recent transfer window and his involvement in most of Madrid fixtures highlights that he is a vital part of the team.
The former Lyon ace has been very instrumental for Real and Mourinho this term as he has managed to play a very versatile role. Essien has been successfully used in a number of positions for the current La Liga champions and has managed to return the faith that the manager has put in him.
Real Madrid favoured not to cast light on the reason for Essien’s absence initially but were forced to make a statement for the prolonged absence of the midfielder.
According to the reports, it is now believed that Essien’s absence was down to some allergic reaction to a medicine which was approved by the Real Madrid doctor.
“He has had an allergic reaction to some medicine,” Real assistant Aitor Karanka said.
If reports be believed, Essien could be out from further action for the capital side until after the winter break and it is seen as a big blow to Jose Mourinho’s plans, as he already finds his star studded side depleted, suffering from a vast injury crisis.
Real also have also lost Gonzalo Higuain and Brazilian defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marcelo-c23554 for indefinite periods and have not shed light on the returning times of the duo. The Argentinean striker is believed to be suffering from a thigh injury while the Brazilian defender suffered a broken foot earlier in the season.
