After losing out to Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League semi finals in 2009, Chelsea are now out for revenge and their Ghanaian playmaker says that it is Chelsea’s time to get a well needed victory over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296 and

http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Essien-c25294 has come out and said that Chelsea will go for the win against Barcelona as the Spanish giants are not invincible and they can be beaten if played the right way. Chelsea almost knocked Barcelona out of the 2009 UEFA
Champions League competition but a late goal by Andres Iniesta gave Barcelona a berth in the final of the tournament in question where they defeated Manchester United to lift the Champions League crown.
Barcelona are currently the defending European champions as they won the UEFA Champions League last season as well but with nothing to play for apart from the Champions League this season, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 are looking as dangerous underdogs.
In their tie against Barcelona in 2009, Chelsea were left disappointed due to a various refereeing decisions that did not go their way most notably several trips on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 penalty area. Nonetheless,
there is talk of a renewed challenge this time around as Barcelona are seen by many as the most successful football club side of all time.
Essien said in his interview, “We have played them a few times in the last eight years or so and they are definitely beatable. I have a feeling it's our time to get one over on them. The last time we played them it was full of
drama and had some superb football."
He added, “That game had everything, including a couple of great goals; we had them where we wanted them, but failed to finish them off and paid the price.” Chelsea will hope that their star players remain fit for the upcoming
two legged tie against Barcelona as they will need to play beyond their capabilities to really test Barcelona and perhaps in doing so gain a place in the Champions League final for the first time since 2008.
