The former Borussia Monchengladbach manager feels that every team in the bottom four has the chance to survive in this season’s Bundesliga.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-c25261 Frontzeck reckons that the Bundesliga relegation battle will get even tougher as the teams near the end of the competition. He opined that the relegation fight will go down to the wire and the teams with more experienced
players might get the better of the situation.
The 47-year-old referred to Augsburg’s victory over Hertha Berlin at the weekend, claiming that experience helped the Fuggerstadter to get better of their fellow relegation candidates. He mentioned that some results involving the
bottom four sides could make the competition even more exciting in the remaining 11 games of the season.
While talking to the official Bundesliga website, Bundesliga.de, the former left wingback further added:
“Obviously there are experiences that can provide a huge boost. Especially when you look at a team like FC Augsburg who beat one of their relegation rivals. Nevertheless all the teams who are near the foot of the table have a realistic
chance of surviving. It's going to be cut-and-thrust, that much is guaranteed.”
On the other hand, Frontzeck believes that Otto Rehhagel is certainly the right man take the managerial responsibilities at the Hertha Berlin. He insisted that the 73-year-old is experienced enough to help the strugglers survive
the relegation scare.
Berlin have not managed to win a single league game since coming back from the winter break and find themselves 16th in the table with 20 points from 23 Bundesliga appearances.
“First off Otto Rehhagel wasn't appointed to win his first match in charge, but instead to ensure survival. The team are experiencing a real low, irrespective of who the boss is. The important thing is to take as much focus as
possible off the players,” Frontzeck concluded.
Apart from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SC-Freiburg-c40462 are the other two sides in the relegation zone with 18 points each. Augsburg are not too far away with 21 points and are on the 15th spot. The remaining 11 games of
the season definitely hold the same importance for the bottom four clubs as it does for the top four.
