Former West Indian fast bowler, Michael Holding, believes that the Pakistani bowlers will find it hard to take 20 wickets in a match against England in the upcoming series in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Amir-c76675 and Mohammad
Asif has badly hurt http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 team.
The series between the two teams is going to start from the 17th of January, 2012 with the first Test at Dubai. The three match series is going to be followed by the limited overs version of the game.
England is currently the number one ranked Test team of the world and is extremely high on confidence, especially after beating http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 by a massive margin at home.
Pakistan lost three major players in the spot-fixing controversy last year but quite ironically, the Green Shirts have been doing very well in international cricket since then. As a result, the cricket analysts around the world are predicting a toughly fought
series between the two countries.
Holding, who is considered amongst the greatest fast bowlers to have played the game, feels that Pakistan’s bowling attack is inexperienced and it is going to face a tough time against the strong English batting lineup. He puts the onus on fast bowler Umar
Gul and off-spinner http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Saeed-Ajmal-c87859 to lead Pakistan’s bowling attack against England and hopes that the duo is going to take the responsibility on their shoulders.
The former great said, “I think that definitely will be Pakistan’s problem. If experienced bowlers like http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Umar-Gul-c94604 and Saeed Ajmal really perform at the top of their game and get supported by the other bowlers around them, then they have a chance. But it is
difficult to see Pakistan take twenty wickets on a regular basis on those pitches.”
Holding added that Pakistan is not a bad team either and if the pitches are going to be batting friendly in UAE, the cricket fans may witness some draws.
“I can’t make a prediction to be honest. I would prefer to see how the pitch will behave before thinking about making any predictions, because if the pitch ends up being really flat, I suspect we might just have a few draws”, he added.
