to semi-finals and finals of ranking events, the major events. I think I've proved myself at every other level.”
The Hitman added, “I've always been confident in my abilities but I've not achieved what I thought I was capable of which is frustrating. I sometimes get a little tight at venues and my desire can strangle me at times. If I can make that break through though
I feel I can establish myself at a higher level.”
The Nottingham potter has booked a potential second round clash against the current World Number one, compatriot Mark Selby, who is scheduled to play against the Chinese potter, Lu Ning in his opening match.
