Yet, following Hussey’s participation in the Champions League Twenty20 for his Indian Premier League (IPL) outfit, Chennai Super Kings, the governing body has allowed him to skip the first-class game and rest before the international contest.

Despite the fact that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028 and company failed to make it to semi-finals, Hussey got no time to rest ahead of the domestic competition.
The Western Australia-Tasmania first-class match is scheduled to finish on Friday, the day Hussey is set to leave for South Africa.
Australia’s tour to Africa includes two T20 matches, three One-dayers plus a couple of 5-day games, starting with the first T20 encounter on October 13, 2011.
According to the recent Argus report, it is mandatory for every national player to play as much domestic matches as he can. Since the 36-year-old is a part of ODI setup, he would have found no time to relax, had he played the domestic match.
Therefore, Cricket's governing body has decided to let him miss the game in order to relax ahead of a crucial competition against the Proteas.
In a media statement, Cricket Australia general manager, Michael Brown said, "His (Hussey's) workload has been significant. Looking at all the coming international fixtures, it was decided that it is best for Michael if he sits out this week."
