Michael Hussey praises Clarke’s historic knock – Cricket News Update

Hussey shared an excellent unbeaten partnership of 334 runs with Clarke, powering Australia to a massive score of 659/4 in the first innings. The classy left-hander smashed a wonderful 150, but the hero of the show was the Australian skipper who smashed
his first triple hundred in the longest format of the sport.
On his stand with Clarke, Hussey said, "I don't really mind. I said to Pup out in the middle I'm honoured and privileged to be a part of that. It was a fantastic innings and one that I'll remember for a long time ... and one that got our team into a very
strong position in the Test match."
Like the skipper, Hussey’s knock was full of class and quality strokes. During his 253-ball stay at the crease, he hit 16 boundaries and a six. Widely known as Australia’s man of crisis, Hussey was under enormous pressure because of his dismal show over
the past couple of months. However, with this marvellous century he has proved his berth in the team.
The 36-year-old expressed gratitude to his coach and skipper for the support they gave him during his bad patch.
