Veteran Australian batsman, Michael Hussey, has voiced his desire to continue playing for his national side, citing his hunger for the game.
"I've definitely still got the hunger to play and have that battle out in the middle so while I've still got that I want to keep going," Hussey said while talking to the media.
The 36-year-old, who has always been a top performer for the Aussies, asserted that he has yet not decided to leave the game, as he is concentrating on sustaining his form and fitness.
According to Mr. Cricket, it has always been difficult to predicate the retirement decision of any cricketer, as it is a subjective decision.  
"I don't like to think how long (until retirement), because the game changes so quickly. People talk about good form and bad form and it can change so quickly, so I don't like to look too far ahead,” the Australian batsman quoted.
The left-handed batsman, who has been famous for playing unbelievable knocks to guide his national side throughout his stupendous career, shared that he is not thinking about the future yet.
The dependable batsman said that he wants to perform well during the ongoing series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757.
Meanwhile, Hussey also seems eager to represent the Aussies during the upcoming series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750.
"I just want to try to do as well as I can in this series and I'd love to be involved in the Australian summer (against New Zealand and India) as well, but I haven't looked any further than that because you can't afford to really,”
the Western Australian added.
Hussey, who has served http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 in 62 Tests, and 166 One Day Internationals so far, scoring 5113, and 4862 runs respectively, stated that if you want to retain your place in the side, you have to perform consistently.
"You have a few bad innings and then the pressure is certainly on to keep your place," he mentioned in same interview.
In the meanwhile, he said that if you would not perform consistently, someone else can easily take your place, as the Australian side has excellent reserve strength.
