Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen

Question

Do people even realize how good Scottie Pippen was? He is one of the best defenders to ever play the game and he scored near 19 points every game. Ya people mention that Jordan didnt win a championship until Pippen came, and Kobe needed Shaq and blah blah blah and how Kobe lost with a team that had Gasol and Odom. Gasol and Odom are not near the caliber player that Pippen was. So ya every superstar needs another great player to win a championship, im just sick of people comparing Jordan and Kobe and whos the greatest and Kobe can't win without Shaq, its like people think Kobe will never get back there and that hes near retirement or sumethin. haha. What u guys think of all this? Please no haters.

Jordan made Scottie. Shaq Made Kobe. Kobe made who....noboody. Kobe will never make a teammante great! No matter who it is! Give him Marion and they will still lose!

Every great player needs a "sidekick" you can't win championships on your own. Pippen would've gotten so much more credit if he wasn't with Jordan and he would've been recognized as a better player than he really was.

well no one can win a ring alone.......its right it takes atleast two....kobe is on the process ...he has a great team....gasol..bynum...odom.......they were after artest , but my rockets got em first..anyways .......just like james.....he needs ..another superstar by his side..he cant do it alone...he's just gonna get double or triple teamed.....kobe did go to the big stage in this years finals..but the big 3 stoped kobe ...3 on 1 ...come on not even close...all the lakers have to do is catch up to kobe

Pippen had his chance. You can't say that Pippen was capable of leading the Bulls. He had his chance when Michael Retired (the first time). They did not win, but when there was a comeback (the first one) by MJ, then they started winning championships again. Pippen was undoubtedly great, but Pippen needed Michael.

Well, Pippen was awesome. Well, even when Jordan and Pippen were doing bad in the play offs, you know who stepped up to the plate? Yeah,not one, but two of his teammates. Kobe did awesome in the play offs, but when things went bad... Odom was choking , Gasol was being fouled, but the refs didn't think so. Radmonavic was playing like he deserved to be benched.

Jordan has something that Kobe doesn't, which made people think that Kobe isn't anywhere near him. Not teammates, or championships, but the ability to use his jumping ability. Most of those lay ups that Kobe does, Jordan would have dunked those. If Kobe dunked those, he would shut up the critics.
