Michael Klueh secures Men’s 1500m freestyle gold – FINA Swimming World Cup, Tokyo
Michael Klueh of USA secured gold medal of the Men’s 1500m freestyle on day two of the seventh stop of the 2012 FINA/Arena Swimming World Cup Series in Tokyo, Japan on Wednesday, November 7.
The American swimmer stifled hopes of his opponents in the distant freestyle event as he showed no mercy to his opponents and surfaced on the wall for gold medal.
With his relentless efforts in the 1500m discipline, Klueh devastated hopes of his opponents in the distant freestyle discipline and surfaced on the finishing end for gold medal by producing a time of 14 minutes and 38.64 seconds.
The champion was followed by Pal Joensen, who stayed almost six seconds slower from his foregoing finisher and surfaced on the finishing end as second position holder by producing a time of 14 minutes and 44.83 seconds.
The silver medallist was followed by Ayatsugu Hirai of Japan, who stayed only a body length ahead and surfaced on the finishing wall for third position by reporting an effort of 14 minutes and 45.60 seconds.
The bronze medallist was chased by MacKenzie Horton of Australia, who stayed nearly four body lengths slower from overpowering his former finisher and surfaced on the wall as fourth position holder with an effort of 14 minutes and 49.78 seconds.
Fifth best spot of the event was obtained by Kouhei Yamamoto of Japan, who stayed two body lengths slower from his foregoing finisher and surfaced on the wall with a timing of 14 minutes and 51.62 seconds.
Sixth position of the race was obtained by Youhei Takiguchi of Japan, who stayed considerably slower from his former finisher and transpired on the finishing end with a timing of 14 minutes and 54.76 seconds.
Takiguchi was chased by Fumiya Hidaka of Japan, who was almost six seconds slower and settled on the finishing end with a timing of 15 minutes and 00.73 seconds.
Last spot of the race was obtained by Yuuto Satou of Japan, who was only half a body length behind and ended his swim in a time of 15 minutes and 01.12 seconds.
Furthermore, Klueh received medal for his notable form after the event.
