Sinclair is amongst the three Swansea City players selected to represent Great Britain at the Olympics. While Laudrup was pleased to have his players have an opportunity to prove themselves for their country, he was not too thrilled about the fact that they
would be missing pre-season training for it.

All three sides are reportedly interested in signing the 23-year-old, but the new Swansea boss Michael Laudrup is determined to hold on to the player. He dismissed the rumours linking Sinclair with a move away as mere speculation, something to be expected
in the transfer window.
He confirmed that talks were scheduled to be held between the English Premier League side and the winger once the player returned from the Olympics.
Laudrup said in an interview:
“It's the last year of his contract and it's a special situation - not only for him but in general when you have players with only one more year to go.
But I imagine we will have to wait until he's back. For now we have to leave them to concentrate on the Olympics and when they come back we'll talk about it.”
Laudrup confirmed he wanted Sinclair to remain with the former Championship side in the upcoming seasons, along with the other two players who were on duty with Great Britain. He felt it was their inclusion in the Olympics that had sparked interest from
other sides.
He revealed:
“Of course I would like Scott to stay - the three Olympians are important players for us.
They showed it at the highest level last year, they had done very well before in the Championship, but now they've shown they can do it at the highest level then it's normal there is interest from other clubs.”
