The former coach hails Zenit defence and tipped them to sign a winger during the transfer window if they are to retain the Russian Premier League title this season.
The former Zenit St. Petersburg defender, Michael Lokhov, has expressed his views on the team defence during the ongoing Russian Premier League campaign and tipped the Meshki to sign wingers during the January transfer window.

The Russian outfit boasts the best defensive record in the league, and Lokhov has urged his former club to continue the good defensive run in the upcoming third league round.

“Spalletti needs to have at least six defenders at his disposal. Anyukov, Lombaerts, Hubocan and Criscito have been brilliant but Alves needs to improve.

“Danny Miguel has also played few games as a winger but failed to impress. So I would like to see quality wingers in our team.” Lokhov said
Lokhov admitted that Zenit have decent midfielders but, at the same time, revealed that they are lacking quality wingers at the moment.
