Michael Morse shows improvement on his strained right lat as he is set for June return - MLB

The Washington Nationals’ offence worries were easily visible from their performance last week. An offence which heavily relies on Ryan Zimmerman and Michael Morse late in the innings was bound to suffer a meltdown in their absence.
Morse had suffered with severe pain in his right lat, which has kept him out of the season so far.
He had been expected to return late in May as per the Nationals’ general manager Mike Rizzo.
The fact Morse himself calls his position far better now must send a wave of satisfaction across the management. This also enlivens the possibility of coming back to the season early.
On examination of his injury, doctors had called for him to miss six-weeks of play. Fortunately for him, things are happening just as were desired as opposed to meeting an undue hiccup, which can cause further delay.
He will be resuming his time on the plate soon and with immediate restoration of his composure, he can pave way to an instant jump to the Major League.
Morse believes, it is just a matter of time when he will appear in the season now.
“I lift and train the other side of my body,” he said. “But now, I just have to let it heal. They say it’s kind of like glue. If you don’t let it set and keep picking at it, it’s not going to heal.”
With Bryce Harper making a sparkling debut in the Majors and getting hits on the plate, the Nationals will witness their offence strengthened enormously as Morse makes to the line-up.
Just like their strong powerful arms, which are among the best in the season, their offence will also start to be ranked in the same category on his return.
An obvious corollary will be a potential invincibility the Nationals can enjoy later in the season. They are already leading the National League East Division Table. Therefore, with their injured players back, they will have less work to do for maintaining
that spot on the table.
Morse will be looking to get back into the action as soon as possible. This is the only way he can fulfil his Major League responsibilities not only to himself, but to his team.
