Michael Nunn vs. Bernard Hopkins?

Both guys at their peaks at 160 - Nunn around 1989-90 Hopkins 1998 or so.

  2. this is very tough. they are both skilled. they were both tested. to me, it's very simple. whoever can fight dirty wins. hopkins can fight dirty within the rules and that's the tiebreaker.

  3. I honestly don't think this is a very tough call. It's Hopkins, by a mile. The only middle weights of my lifetime who I would give a chance against Hopkins are Roy Jones Jr. (I really wish they could have had a re-match--would still be interested in the fight) Marvin Haggler, Sugar Ray Leanord and Tommy Hearns. Basically, four of the top pound for pound fighters of all time.

    Nunn was a good fighter, but he also got overhyped a little by the Hollywood crowd. I don't think he was tough enough or crafty enough to handle Hopkins.
