Michael Phelps or Usain Bolt . ? Who would you rate as the star of Beijing 2008 . ?

Michael Phelps, he WON 8 golds, not 3 Usain did a great job but Phelps record will stand for many years!

Usain Bolt.

I mean, if the IAAF expands the athletic events to include: 70m, 4*200m relay, 100m running with hands tied to your back, 200m running with hands tied to your back etc. Bolt can win 8 gold as well.

Usain Bolt - track events are what the Olympics is all about. The swimming is really just the appetizer before the main course.

Definitely Phelps.  The most dominant performance ever at any olympics.  Bolt was great too but not as good sportsmanship.

If Usain Bolt got gold in the long jump, hurdles, and the triple jump then I would see how his performance would have been the best.

What Phelps did is much harder to do than the running. Phelps records might go down but not all of them in one olympics. Usain Bolts records can be broken this coming year it much easier to find a fast runner than it is to find a fast swimmer like Phelps.

Usain Bolt. Jogging in the 100m Final to beat the world record, beating the world record in the 200m and the Jamaican team also beating a world record. He's an amazing athlete, not to say Phelps isn't but I was more impressed by Bolt

I'd have to say Usain Bolt. I understand that Phelps had to train hard for these Olympics, but everyone already knew he was going to take home the Gold for everything. But I think Usain Bolt sort of surprised everyone. No one was expecting him to break three world records and he was very exciting to watch.

Usain Bolt....love the dancing...Phelps is cool but Usain is a bit more of a lively character
